What is Buttocks Reshaping?

Dr. Niki Christopoulos’ Approach to a Buttocks Reshaping Procedure
The location of your incisions depend on the technique used and the size and shape of your buttocks.
In a Brazilian Butt Lift, Dr. Christopoulos makes small inconspicuous incisions in areas of the body such as the abdomen, flanks, thighs and arms to perform liposuction and carefully harvest unwanted fat from other areas of your body. This fat is then purified and carefully and artistically placed into your buttocks via small incisions to create a fuller, curvier and more youthful shape.
In a Buttock Implant procedure, incisions can be made either at the top or the bottom of each buttock or hidden in a natural gluteal crease. Through these incisions a soft silicone implant is placed within your gluteal muscle on either side.
Dr. Christopoulos is a double-board certified plastic surgeon and performs her surgeries in a fully accredited outpatient surgical facility. Anesthesia is administered by an anesthesiologist using either intravenous sedation or general anesthesia for your comfort and safety during the procedure. The procedure can take anywhere from 1-3 hours, although complicated procedures may take longer.
Buttocks Reshaping Recovery and Results
The length of recovery and healing process does vary from individual to individual. It is natural to expect some bruising and swelling after your procedure. While your results will be immediately visible after a buttock enhancement procedure, it may take several weeks to months to see your final result. Most patients can resume normal daily activities within 10-14 days and return to work within 2-3 weeks. Dr. Christopoulos will advise you to refrain from strenuous activity for several weeks after your surgery and will also guide you on the proper type of compression garments that may be necessary to minimize swelling and improve your results. The results of your buttock enhancement will be long lasting and will give you the more youthful, curvaceous and shapely look you desire.
