Platelet-rich plasma (or PRP) is blood plasma that has been enriched with powerful anti-aging collagen growth factors and promotes skin regeneration. What has since been dubbed a “vampire facial” is a two stage process. First we use the Elipse MicroPen to create hundreds of superficial micro-channels. These superficial injuries are designed to improve your skin condition upon re-epithelialization. By stimulating collagen and elastin fibers we are able to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars and crepey skin texture over time. When used in conjunction with microneedling, PRP essentially “turbo charges” your treatment to further enhance the result. We only need to collect a small amount of blood to isolate the PRP and the procedure takes about 30 minutes to perform. For optimum results a course of treatments may be recommended.
