World Cancer Day – Thursday, February 4th

We understand that being diagnosed with any type of cancer is frightening and overwhelming. Which is why we want to stress the importance of getting checked yearly, know your family’s history and be proactive.

The skin is the largest organ of your body and knowing what signs to look for in a suspicious mole or lesion is important. We recommend following the ABCDE’s of a self mole exam.

If you do realize that you have a suspicious mole or lesion on your body we have Board-Certified Dermatologists and Certified Physician Assistants that can perform a full body skin exam. In the case that one of our Providers identifies that you do have melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer, we do have Dr. Tracy Campbell on staff. She is a Board-Certified Dermatologist Fellowship-Trained in Mohs Micrographic Surgery. Mohs Micrographic Surgery is the most effective treatment for skin cancer available, with a 98% success rate.
